Back?
You know, I just had one of the best evenings (and, well, early mornings) I've had in SL in a very long time. What'd I do? Not much. A whole lot of yammering about nothing, and a fair but of scripting guidance for an SL newcomer. I'm going to have to keep this in mind: SL isn't about the technology, or the scripting, or the money. It's about, and has always been about, the people. I can't say I'm 100% back, yet. But for the first time in months I look forward to logging in again.
I've taken some steps to, hopefully, broaden my own personal community in SL. It's a pretty exclusive group, and even required me to submit an application and CV, so we'll see how that works out. In the meantime, well, I'll have to see about catching up with folks I've been neglecting. We'll see if my newfound optimism about SL holds up long enough for the follow through.

I'm having the same kind of "what's the point?" feelings too, but for all the friends I have in SL I just can't seem to find any desire to go in and do anything. I guess RL personal stuff is impacting that too, but it kinda saddens me that something I used to like so much doesn't even seem interesting any more.
Hope you can get excited about it again, just based on what I've read in your blog I think you have a lot to offer the SL community with the stuff you've done and can do. (which reminds me, I need to put the butterflys back out).

Moriash, meeting you at the 2007 Relay For Life of Second Life last year was one of the highlights of the day for me and it was a day of highlights. Thank you for taking the time to talk with me, a non-tech, non-flying, and bad spelling geek wanna-be.
Moriash , only a few reach the ability level you have, and even fewer of those people have the gift to turn that level around and share it with people. You have that gift and you not only enrich the lives of the SL residents you touch, you impact them in real life too because you leave them a little smarter about SL and with a giggle in their heart that stays with them long after the monitor goes dark. *smiling*
I hope you get your groove back Moriash, there are people behind AVs that need a script lesson or a giggle waiting for you.
