Potential
So this evening I spent a few hours writing Plywood scripts. (Scripts as in actual scripts, not LSL programs.) Nothing unusual about that. Someday, I might even film them. The catch is that these were taken from outlines written while I was in the waiting room at the local animal emergency clinic. The kitty is fine, now, but you can imagine the kind of ideas that came out of that particular brainstorming session. We'll see if I have the nerve to bring them to life.

My main concern is how folks will receive Plywood comics that aren't funny. Okay, I know how folks greet those. I've had some strips posted in the Herald with comments enabled. I mean stories that aren't intended to be funny. Kind of nervous making, that. We'll see if I can pull it off.

Assuming I ever, you know, get back to it. I've sure been living up to my "whenever I feel like it" schedule lately. Ah, well. I think SL can survive just fine without Plywood for a couple of weeks.
Comments:
Have you considered doing a different set of characters and a different title for serious comics? Most print comics authors have multiple titles, and do their best to separate the audiences who may not have much in common (Judd Winick's "Pedro and Me" and "Barry Ween" come to mind as a rough transition for someone not expecting it...)

Hrm. That's not a bad idea. Wouldn't work here, as it's a direct sequel to previous events in Plywood. As it is, I'm going to have to start it with a "what has gone before" prologue. But I do find myself sometimes wanting to say some things that are decidedly not within the tone of Plywood- generally stuff that's more sarcastic, political, or just a bit meaner than you'd expect from the gang. I'll have to think about that some more.

Mori!!!!!
